Haiti Challenge

Members, Over the past few weeks we have all seen the devastating effects of the earthquake in Haiti. As you may know, Cygnus Gymnastics has challenged Campia to a fundraising effort for Haiti in honor of one of their past coaches who passed away in the tragedy. We are responding by hosting a Recycling Blitz this Saturday, February 6th from 10:00 to 2:00 at Dominion in Mount Pearl. We will be set up in the front entrance of Dominion and Evergreen Recycling has offered to pick up the donations. We are looking for volunteers to help out with the Blitz and we are hoping you will all show your support by dropping by with recyclables or a small monetary donation. Please let all your family and friends know about this event. All money raised from this event will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross Haiti Fund. Please contact Annette Hodder at darrylh@nf.sympatico.ca if you are able to volunteer on Saturday. We have also established a donations box in the main lobby at Campia where we will be accepting donations to the Canadian Red Cross to assist in the relief efforts. We are inviting all members of Campia to make a donation, regardless of the amount.
